The Master bedroom
The master bedroom, accessed through an internal stairway covers the entire upper floor. A steep pitched roof provides copious space hosting the expansive master bed, enormous walk-in closets and the room’s AV systems. The flat screen TV is on a clever hydraulic lift, raising the TV for viewing at a touch of a button, and also the option of making it disappear when the magnificent view takes priority. As to be expected there is a large ensuite bathroom that features twin basin vanities, along with a large white terrazzo bathtub are framed by a shower at one end and sanitary facilities at the other.
Providing a final touch of luxury, the room opens onto an expansive private sundeck, built from hardwoods that offer the master bedroom residents the ability to look down upon the grounds of the house and revel in the fantastic view offered by Surin beach and the bay around it.
The Second Master Bedroom
The second master bedroom, large, airy and light, is on the ground floor. While not at the same scale as upstairs, it is none the less lavish in its offerings. It boasts a four-poster king size bed. A huge ensuite bathroom offers twin basin vanities, a sunken tub and rain shower among its features. Within the room are large built-in wardrobes clad in wood; French windows offer up a stunning view and provide access to terrace and garden area. Out the door, pass the guest powder room, the corridor leads onto the kitchen on one side and a little further on, to the living room.
The Downstairs Bedrooms
The downstairs level is accessed through a set of stairs next to the Sala (Thai Gazebo). These descend to a lawn bordered by a hedge and wall on one side. On the other, abutting the villa lays a large wooden deck and its accompanying trellis. Steel beams, painted in a light blue, support the trellis and simple roof to provide shade and protect from rain over the wooden deck which is the dominant feature of this level. It leads onto two bedrooms and the children’s play room, each one with its own doorway onto the deck. Two sets of oversized chairs and tables rest on the deck, offering further places to socialise or escape.
Furthermost along on this deck rests a bedroom. This room’s colors are the brown of polished wood, framed with the white ceiling contrasting against the many built in closets of wood, and the white again of the starched linens of the king sized bed. Moving on the ensuite bathroom, black stone tiles contrast well with the white of raised bathtub and the wooden elements in the room. The large bathtub offers the option of a rain shower and offers considerable light through a misted window that faces towards the sea. Twin basin vanities complete the offerings.
The bedroom that comes with Bunk Beds
Adjacent is a room that hosts a queen sized bed along with a set of bunk beds which were originally built for the owner’s daughter. Similar to all the other bedrooms in the villa, it features its own ensuite bathroom that offers two matching basins and an optional rain shower and bathtub combination.
This room is adjacent to the Children’s Playroom.
Living areas
The heart of the villa is the living room on the main floor. It is magnificent with high ceilings clad in timber, leading up to a pitched roof. On three sides of this room are floor-to-ceiling glass walls along with glass sliding doors providing a 270 degree view of the property, along with the magnificent ocean and beach backdrop.
This room is very much the social hub of the villa. It offers many amenities, such as a Bose sound system, and a top quality projector for watching movies and TV, that displays on a clever drop-down projector screen.
The Living Room
The heart of the villa is the living room on the main floor. It is magnificent with high ceilings clad in timber, leading up to a pitched roof. On three sides of this room are floor-to-ceiling glass walls along with glass sliding doors providing a 270 degree view of the property, along with the magnificent ocean and beach backdrop. This room is very much the social hub of the villa. It offers many amenities, such as a Bose sound system, and a top quality projector for watching movies and TV, that displays on a clever drop down projector screen.
The Children’s Playroom
The children’s playroom on the lowest floor is effectively a library/den that offers another air-conditioned room for watching TV and can also be adapted as a 5th bedroom with its fold out sofa bed – in any scheme where it is used as such, the additional room must be used only for children or domestic staff. The play room features comfortable furniture, a large TV, and a massive bookcase, in which many children’s toys can be found. This room is perfect to provide any children in the group with their own play space, or for adults to have a second air-conditioned room with AV capabilities.
Dining Room
On the east side of the living room is a covered terrace which hosts the dining room table. This space is adjacent to the covered open-air wet kitchen, and a few steps away from the large, western-style main kitchen that features a host of amenities including multiple refrigerators. Having two kitchens, a few steps from the dining table somewhat signifies how important that quality food is to the villa and its owner and to its guests.
